Ingrid Guerrieri (Ella/she) is a bilingual Study Interventionist in the Division of Infectious Disease and Global Public Health, Department of Medicine, at the University of California, San Diego. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and an Expressive Arts Therapist in private practice in San Diego.
Ingrid started her journey as a mental health professional in Colombia, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá. She holds a M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Diego State University, and has obtained a Diploma in Alcohol other Drugs Studies (SDCC) and a Diploma in Expressive Arts Therapy (EAI).
Being bicultural and bilingual informs her strong commitment to inclusion and social justice. She is passionate about promoting collaborative and community-oriented relational practices; she believes the inclusion of often-ignored/marginalized voices and experiences in social discourse is key to cultivating ethical relationships and providing ethical mental health.
Ingrid enjoys engaging in creative endeavors such as cooking, painting, salsa dancing, collaging, and talking with people. She dreams of having a mobile/itinerant community-art studio.
