Marie Niles brings over two decades of experience in healthcare, advocacy, and community engagement. She began her medical career in 1995 as a Medical Assistant for a cardiologist in Phoenix, Arizona, where she developed a strong foundation in patient care and clinical coordination. In 2002, she advanced into surgery as a Surgical First Assistant, later founding her own surgical practice in 2012 and becoming credentialed at more than 30 facilities across the state.
Marie holds a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy & Physiology from ACU (Glendale, AZ) and also has a background in marketing and program development, which she applies to her work in community health and nonprofit leadership.
After being diagnosed HIV+ in 2024, Marie retired from her surgical career to dedicate her life to HIV awareness and empowerment. In April 2025, she founded the Bee HIV+ Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to reducing stigma, promoting education, and supporting individuals affected by HIV through advocacy, outreach, and storytelling.
An Author, blogger for The Well Project: A Girl Like Me, HIV advocate, and Gold Star Mother, Marie uses her personal journey to inspire resilience, compassion, and hope within both the healthcare field and the wider community.
