Ashley WangStudent Volunteer

Ashley Wang is an undergraduate student volunteer in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Global Public at the University of California, San Diego. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of General Biology with a minor in Global Health. At iSTRIVE, she is working on multiple projects investigating gender equity, women’s adulthood violence, and HIV prevention with Dr. Jamila Stockman.

Ashley developed her interest in female reproductive health through her personal medical experiences in middle school. During high school, she worked on the improvement of female reproductive diseases via biological tracts. By working with iSTRIVE, Ashley hopes to dive deeper in the problems of social stigma, marginalized HIV patients, and gender-based violence from public health perspective.
