Giselle graduated with a major in Biology and a minor in Bioethics from Loyola Marymount University. She is a volunteer Research Assistant with the iSTRIVE lab at the UCSD School of Medicine, Division of Infectious Disease and Global Public Health, currently contributing to the Women SHINE study. Previously, she conducted research in medicinal organic synthesis, focusing on the formal synthesis of Psychrophilin E to enhance its yield and synthesis process. Giselle also works as an EMT and volunteers with Grass Roots Neighbors, helping improve access to resources for those in need.
